Monument record TR 33 NW 54 - Pier Extension Battery, Admiralty Pier, Dover Harbour

Summary

With the extension to Admiralty pier a new fort was constructed at its head, built between 1905 and 1910, this was known as ‘Pier Extension Battery’. It was armed with two 12 pounder quick fire (QF) naval guns with a range of 11,750yd and probably had some boom defence function as well. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
