Monument record TR 34 SW 674 - Wine Vault, 137 Snargate Street, Dover
Summary
A wine vault dug into the base of the chalk cliff, with a brick riveted entrance was revealed watching brief ahead of the redevelopment of an empty plot (137 Snargate Street). The spoil from digging out the vault was spread across the ground and in places was up to a metre thick. (location accurate to the nearest 5m based on available information).
