Monument record TR 23 NW 258 - Medieval Pit and Postholes, The Bayle
Summary
The site near the cliff edge and c.100 metres east of the parish church (TR 23 NW 26) was excavated in February 1975 prior to the development of the land for a house. Two post-holes and a small pit were beneath and sealed by these foundations of a later medieval house (TR 23 NW 257). The pit contained 13th century pottery. Primary deposits yielded pottery of c.12th century date.
