Summary

Fragments of tile and small sherds of Romano-British pottery were found during work to lay a pipeline in 1989. The pottery was identified as Canterbury sandy-ware.

Full Description

During pipeline trenching for Southern Water in 1989. In this area topsoil removal exposed fragments of tile and small sherds of Romano-British pottery. The later mostly being in the Canterbury sandy-ware fabric.(1)
