Findspot record TR 25 SW 156 - Flint Scatter, Aylesham
Summary
Intermittent watching brief on pipeline work by Southern Water in the vicinity of Aylesham and Snowdown. Very little of archaeological interest was located other than a concentration of scattered worked flints. These late Neolithic or early Bronze Age flints were recovered from an area 20m square and were badly fractured by the topsoil stripping. No features were found with the flints and it is possible the may have been dispersed by the mechanical excavator.
