Monument record TQ 57 SE 176 - Ingress Abbey, Palaeolithic flint flakes from terrace sands/ gravels

Summary

Evaluation and mitigation fieldwork carried out at Ingress Abbey to investigate pleistocene deposits produced a Palaeolithic flint assemblage. Although slightly disturbed/transported, this assemblage represents evidence of early human activity at the time of the formation of the deposits.
