Full Description
Postholes and a ditch, later filled in, and a possible bank. They probably represent a late bronze age, certainly early - mid iron age settlement site. Possibly associated with the site located just to the north of Minster Abbey (TQ 97 SE 59) [1].
See also [2].
Further archaeological work on the site in 1999 recorded an undated pit, sealed by a probable post medieval buried ploughsoil, a small post medieval pit and a large twentieth century feature [3].
