Summary

Very numerous Palaeolithic handaxes from general Aylesford area, held at numerous museums across the UK, especially the British Museum and Maidstone Museum, mostly collected in late 19th C and early 20th C. Implements found in an area of geology mapped a Hythe Beds but is probably Terrace 2. Handaxes, scrapers and flakes may also have come from this area.
