Monument record TQ 67 SW 328 - Romano-British occupation remains discovered during CTRL works in 2003

Summary

An evaluation in 2003 within the Scheduled Monument discovered evidence of Romano-British occupation. An occupation layer, surfaces, small finds and a pit were discovered immediately adjoining Watling Street. It was suggested that the surface might indeed be the Roman road.
