Full Description
Archaeological excavation in 2006 discovered evidence of late prehistoric occupation of the site. There were pits and ditches, possibly of Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age. A truncated Late Iron Age urned cremation burial was found and approximately 100 Roman inhumation graves were excavated (1).
