Full Description

The site of a former brick kiln of pre-nineteenth century date is implied by the field name "Brick-kiln field" in a report regarding the Earl of Aylesford's estate at Great Buckland, Maidstone. The name applies to a parcel of land No. 17, depicted on the map No. 14. The annotation on the map shows that by the early nineteenth century the land useage has changed to garden, as confirmed by the accompanying report dated 1805, and orchard.(1)
