2. Corner property at the junction of Harnet Street and The Butchery, facing Strand Street. Divided into several shops with flats over. It is the remains of a Hall House of about 1400 greatly altered. 2 storeys and attic 2 windows facing north, 1 window facing west and 1 facing east on the 1st floor all with glazing bars. Some timber framing is visible on the ground and 1st floor. At the south west end is a blocked arch with carved wooded quatre-foils in the spandrels. 1st floor plastered. Modern shop windows.
Nos 30 to 38 (even) with Nos 9, 13 and 15 forms a group.

Description from record TR 35 NW 247:
Nos. 32-38 Harnet Street, Medieval building within the walled town of Sandwich. Still has many elements of the original design. Has been converted into two dwellings by a new dividing wall. The foundation trench for this wall revealed the original clay floor layers. Also an original dwarf wall was revealed which would have supported the beams of the building.(1)
