The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ASH HOADEN TR 25 NG 5/20 Hoaden Farmhouse GV II
House. C15 and clad mid. C19. Timber framed and clad with yellow stock brick. Plain tiled roof. Hall house, possibly originally of Wealden type. Two storeys with boxed eaves to hipped roof with gablets and central stack cluster. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor, the central smaller, and 2 on ground floor with segmental heads. Central door of 2 panels with semi-circular fanlight and painted surround. Interior: full frame visible. Octagonal moulded crown post on steeply cambered tie beam. Mullioned windows survive behind brick panels, some with iron mullions, some with ovolo wooden mullions. Plank and muntin door. The distance between the central. frame and the present facade may indicate the recessed central bay of a Wealden.
