Nos 1 and 3 rendered on ground floor of front, No 7 entirely rendered. Welsh slate roof with gabled ends and parapet at front with concrete coping. Brick stacks over party walls, mostly rendered. Plan: Terrace of 9 houses of double depth plan, each house has a single front room with an entrance to right except for No 15 whose doorway is to the left and No 1 which was probably 2 houses originally. Exterior: 3 storeys, attic and basement. Slightly curved front to long almost symmetrical 18-window range, 9 pairs of windows. All sashes and mostly original, wide 16-pane sashes on the ground floor, tall narrow 15-pane sashes on first floor and small 9-pane sashes on the second floor. The basement has wide 12-pane sashes. The first floor windows have largely original wrought-iron balconies but only No 5 has balconies to its second and ground floor windows. Flat gauged brick window arches, some now rendered. Stuccoed string at first floor level. Flights of steps up to ground floor doorways which have moulded stucco architraves with cornices on console brackets, moulded 4-panel doors and rectangular overlights; the cornices of Nos 11 to 17 have been altered. Only Nos 3 to 9's balustrades to the steps are original. Nos 3 to 17 have flat roof dormers, mostly C20 replacements. At the rear most of the original sash windows have been replaced and Nos 7 to 17 have late C20 extensions of 1 storey and basement. Interior: A marble chimneypiece was observed in No 11 and other original features are expected to survive in many of the houses such as original joinery including staircases and moulded plaster ceilings.
