Monument record TQ 77 SW 27 - Two possible ring-ditches seen in cropmark, Lee Green Cottages
Summary
The cropmark remains of a possible Bronze Age round barrow. This barrow appears to be one of two, possibly three adjacent barrows which lie immediately to the south and south-west of this site. These have been recorded separately as NMR TQ77SW 130 and 131. To the north-east of these ring ditches are the fragmented cropmarks of a number of incomplete rectilinear enclosures, ditches and pits of a possible later prehistoric settlement which have been recorded separately as NMR TQ77SW 129. The ring ditches and surrounding features were all mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
