Monument record TQ 85 NW 11 - Belgic ditch pottery & Roman pottery, small building

Summary

The construction of the Maidstone by-pass has exposed two structures to the west of Hollingbourne on the Maidstone side of Musket Lane. To the north of the road Belgic pottery was found in the filling of a ditch: to the south twenty yards further west the ragstone foundations of a small building together with first and early second century Roman pottery.
