Description from record TQ 76 NW 87 :
(TQ 74236844 - O.S. 1:2500 1970) MINOR CANON ROW I No. 1 I No. 2 I No. 3 I No. 4 I No. 5 I No. 6 I No. 7 Terrace of 1736, 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. Brick, parapet has dentil band, 1st, 2nd floor bands, flat arches, plinth. Top mullion and transome casements, otherwise sashes in exposed frames. Doorways have moulded hoods, framed fanlight, panelled doors. The rear shows 14 hipped gables. Walled gardens. (1)

Recent archaeological work has revealed wall fragments from a medieval building under Minor Canon Row, which may have been a major monastic building, perhaps the 'Long Bakehouse' (TQ 76 NW ) [4].

ROCHESTER THE PRECINCT TQ 7468 SW 9/202 Nos 1-7 Minor Canons' Row 24-10-50 GV I Row of houses built for the minor canons of Rochester Cathedral. 1736. Brick, with Kent tile hipped roofs. Each house with entrance and stair to left, under double valley roofs, with one large stack to alternate ridges. 3 storeys and basement with area. Each house with a 3-window front; parapet with dentilled cornice; plat band between floor. 12-pane hornless sash windows with exposed frames under rubbed brick flat arches throughout. Doorways (approached by steps) with simple moulded surround, canopy, panelled door and rectangular overlight. Rear: 2nd floor: 2-light casement windows with transom and glazing bars; 1st floor: 12-pane sashes under depressed window arches. Some casements.
