Main construction periods 1805 to 1975 Watching brief carried out, during digging of pits and trenches, as part of planning requirement uncovered substantial, well preserved industrial archaeological remains. Smiths shop. Built in 1806. Enlarged and rebuilt in the 19thc. Last used in 1974, now preserved.
