High pitched tiled roof with tall red brick chimneys. Decorative half timbered walls with roughcast filling. Red brick plinth rising to ground floor cills. Narrow end to road of 1 storey and attic, 1 window under wide, overhanging gable with carved beams. Similar and tallergable, with double overhang, on right return. Carved bargeboards, visible beam ends to overhangs. 4 and 5-light wood mullioned windows, some in square bays. On left return 2 1st floor oriel bays and recessed entrance.
South View, Nos 1 to 7 (consec) (Forge square), The Old Forge and Forge Cottage form a group.
