Full Description
Handaxe is held held in the Warren collection at the British Museum. Its finding was mentioned by Evans (1), and it was recorded by Roe (2), and then examined in 2005 for the Medway Valley Palaeolithic Project (3). It is a small sub-triangular shape with a rounded tip, and well-abraded. Listed in the Southern Rivers Palaeolithic Project (4, 5). NB, this record possibly corresponds with the handaxe found by Whitaker in a pit SW of Allhallows Church (6), although this has its own HER record, TQ 87 NW 58
