2. Cl5 hall house with C16 projecting left addition. Irregular elevation shows close studding in later wing, square framing in earlier part, all with plaster filling. Tiled roofs, that of old part with large hips. south front tile hung above, brick below, with central C19 porch flanked by large leaded casements. Windows on other elevations small leaded casements. Interior shows huge arch braced ties and upper braces of 2 crown posts otherwise incorporated in chimney wall and partition. Wide chamfers to all timbers. House was residence of High Sherriff of Kent in C16. Listing NGR: TQ5012042345 (1)
End-jetty house with a formerly open 2-bay hall with the upper end only originally jettied. In the early 16th century an additioinal bay was constructed beyond the services. Beyond the lower end is a 17th century wing. The hall walls were reframed in the 16th and 17th centuries. (2)
