Summary

Grade I listed building. Church, 13th century with additions and alterations, Early English and perpendicular styles, heavily restored in 1855, 1869 and 1902. The church is remarkable for surviving work of the 13th century particularly the wall arcade on the north side of the nave and the remains of a tower at the east. The reconstruction of the south chapel as a mausoleum in 1584 and the monuments of the family of the Earls of Stanhope are also of great interest
