Listed Building record TR 06 SW 1405 - 5 AND 6 THE MARKET PLACE

Summary

Grade II* listed building. Main construction periods 1350 to 1832. This is a completer medieval courtyard house, dating mainly from the 15th century but with some evidence for a 13th century contribution to the main timber frame. The house seems from its earliest days to have been used for shops, as indeed it still is in the 20th century. The courtyard and surrounding buildings are remarkably well preserved.
