The following text is from the original listed building designation:
RAMSGATE HIGH STREET TR 3865 SW (south-west side) 9/189 No. 70 GV II House, now offices, Early C19 alteration of C18 building. Rendered with slate roof. Three storeys and basement on plinth with cornice parapet to hipped roof with stacks to rear. Two casements on 2nd floor with central blank window space, and 3 sashes on 1st floor with bowed palm-pattern balconies. Large ground floor picture window, with 2 basement lights below. Door of 6 raised and fielded panels to left with semi-circular fanlight in fluted Doric pilaster doorcase with open pediment on entablature blocks, and 4 moulded steps. Marked on Collard and Hurst's 1822 map of Ramsgate.
