[TQ 94306264] A Dupondius of Antoninus Pius and R.B. and Md. pottery found March 1962 by Messrs. Wills and Packham Ltd., Sittingbourne, in removing brickearth. The coin brought in by Mr. Croucher, foreman,and identified by Mr.D.B.Kelly. (1) (a)(b) The coins and pottery, which was fragmentary and scattered, were found according to the mechanical excavator operator, over a period of two or three days in a small area centred at TQ 93996249, at a depth of 1 to 2 feet. The pottery has been dispersed; the coin is held by the firm. Further Ro. and Md. sherds are being turned up in the present working area centred at TQ 94016249 and three small rubbish pits full of oyster shell have also been recently exposed at TQ 93976251. `A'.
