Listing NGR: TQ6098543967

The building was surveyed in 2009. From the report: "The barn stands to the north of the farmhouse and is perpendicular to it (Plate 22). The barn consists of three distinct phases of construction, with the original barn (probably 18th century) comprising the north-west end. The barn was extended in the late 19th/ early 20th century, through the addition of a small extension to the centre of its south-east elevation. It was then extended for a second time between 1909 and 1938 (according to the cartographic evidence). The barn’s development remains evident in the present structure, with a large open room on the north-west side of the building and three smaller rooms to the south-east. The barn is constructed of timber on brick footings but has been re-cladded with weatherboarding in the later 20th century. Many of the timbers within the frame of the barn’s structure appear to have been used from elsewhere, but the frame and trusses that support the building appear to be largely intact."
