CRANBROOK WILSLEY POUND TQ 7837-7939 (west side) 8/300 Crossways and Weaver's 9.6.52 Cottage (formerly listed as The Pound House Wilsley Pound) GV II
Possible former hall, now house. C16 with C18 cladding. Timber framed with red brick ground floor and tile-hung first floor. Plain tiled hipped roof. 2 storeys, with end stacks on ridge. Irregular fenestration of 6 windows on first floor and 5 windows on ground floor, mixture of wide glazing bar sashes and casement. Boarded doors to extrance left, in centre and to right. Wing to rear at left with bracketed jettied gable to rear and oriel below jetty.

The building is now made up of three properties, Pound House, Weavers Cottage and Gaythorne. They have been built in three distinctive phases, the first two phases in the first third of the 17th century. A five bay range running north south was built in the period 1600-1610. A cross wing was built to the southern end at right angles, probably in the 1630s. Possibly during the late 17th or early 18th centuries, the main range was extended by two unequal bays including a stack at the northern end. (1)
