Pillbox; no specification. To the W of the A259 road at St. Mary's Bay, N of New Romney. (1) The Second World War pillbox previously noted from documentary sources is visible on aerial photographs of 2007 as a surviving structure in a caravan park on the western edge of St Marys Bay. The pillbox is centred at TR 0855 2769, and measures approximately five to six metres across. It is possibly a Type 22 or Type 24 pillbox, although it appears to have some kind of porch or extension on its north-eastern side (2).
