Full Description
SE of Kingsgate.Pillbox [Sector 7]. Cassini ref 837885
This structure was mapped from military aerial photographs as part of the SE Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. The square building measures 4.5m by 4m and was first visible in Jnauary 1941 (1). It has been mapped from aerial photographs taken in December 1941 (2). It is only visible as a footprint by November 1949 and is not mapped on the 1:1250 OS historic mapping from 1955 (3).
