Full Description
An archaeological evaluation in 2005 found a post medieval pit, two post holes and a brick-lined drain,all of post medieval date. The two post holes and drain were in trench one that was located close to the High Street suggesting a concentration of post medieval activity in this area of the site.
Finds on the site included pottery dating from 14-15th century and from the 17th century. Post medieval brick and tile and fragments of post medieval iron and glass.
Post medieval made ground was found in trench one suggesting that there may have been land reclamation in the area. (1)
