Summary
During a trial trenching evaluation in 2004 a medieval linear ditch containing fragments of 13th century pottery was found. The ditch may have been part of a property or field boundary ditch.

Full Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in February 2004. Two trenches totalling 16 m in length were excavated. The geology was Folkestone Beds. A single medieval feature was found in the easternmost trench (trench 2). This was a ditch orientated north east - south west and approx 1 m wide and 50 cm deep. The ditch contained fragments of 13th century pottery. It may represent a property or field boundary. (1)
