Full Description
An archaeological watching brief carried out at Lenham Community Centre in 2002/3 discovered a length of Roman ditch running east-west across the access road to Lenham Community Centre. The ditch contained a sherd of pottery dated to AD 180-400. The ditch (feature 2) was 1.2m wide and 1.4m deep with steep sides. It contained pottery and oyster shells.
