Full Description
A trench excavated in the former car-park at Douce's Manor, West Malling in 2005 found a probable post medieval and pit together with mized post medieval finds.
The post hole was 0.6 m x 0.6 m x 0.16 m deep and contained fragments of tile and a 18th or 19th century clay pipe stem.
The pit was 1.53 m x 1.76 m x 0.33 m deep. It contained a spread of post medieval finds including china, tile and post medieval pottery. There was also a single sherd of residual Roman pottery. (1)
