Full Description
Eathworks - ditches and banks. Date uncertain. Possobily late- or post-medieval prior to the 1709 boundaries, but further invesigation required to date them accurately. Other, more modern ditches recorded.
In 1995 a supplementary walkover survey was carried out by Wessex Archaeology along the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Number of slight ditches and banks but too numerous to record individually. There were sufficent bare patches to broadly confirm that the greatest finds/tile concentration lay over the known villa site. (1)
