Monument record TQ 76 NW 728 - The Roman town wall bank, an inhumation burial and possible traces of a nearby Roman building
Summary
An evaluation on land at the site of the former Chambers Cycle Store in Rochester found the Roman town wall bank and a later Roman inhumation burial and some pits and post-holes cut into the bank. Material was also found which suggests the existence of a Roman building in the immediate area.
