Monument record TR 25 SW 273 - Prehistoric ditches found during an evaluation at Aylesham and Snowdown Welfare Scheme, Spinney Lane, Aylesham

Summary

From 2009 to 2011 archaeological work was carried out at Aylesham and Snowdown Welfare Scheme, Spinney Lane, Aylesham. Three ditches were found, all of probable prehistoric date. One ran north-west to south-east in the east of the site. The other two were parallel and ran south-west to north east. Several flints and a single sherd of bronze age pottery were found together with cattle bones.
