Full Description

Four large pits were found during a watching brief. One contained sherd of pottery dating to between AD 1025 and AD 1125. The earliest pit was over 5m long and had been backfilled and then cut by a later similar sized pit. Another two pits were located in the immediate vicinity. Their function is unclear. (1)
