Full Description
TR 19254470. A large mound, discovered when cutting down woodland at Dreals Farm in 1966 and surveyed, (1)
Was examined in 1967 and found to be of natural origin. Two trenches revealed no stratification or disturbance other than vermin infestation, and flint flakes and artefacts no more that the average yield on other parts of the farm (a number of flint implements have been found on the surrounding fields -see TR 14 SE 14,15,16,32,36,37). Finds from the mound included a barbed and tanged arrowhead, five scrapers of Neolithic types and seven slightly worked flakes in a total of 120 pieces. (2)
