Full Description
In 2010 an evaluation was carried out on the site of the former Health Centre in Aylesham. Two pits, two post holes and 11 stake holes were found. One of the pits had late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age pottery but none of the other features were directly datable. One pit contained burnt flints and well-preserved charred plant remains.
Residual Neolithic or Bronze Age waste flint flakes along with late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age pottery and late Iron Age to early Roman pottery were also found. (1)
