Full Description

Excavation undertaken by Archaeology South-East in 2002 at Christchurch school prior to construction works.

Irregularly shaped pits, aligned NW-SE, contianing a mix of post-medieval pottery and tile in addition to residual Late Iron Age to medieval material. Probably related to post-medieval agricultural activity, possibly related to hop cultivation. (1)
