Two ditches were found during an evaluation in 2010. One contained medieval pottery. Both had a line of stake holes at the base which could indicate the position of wattle hurdles or a fence line. (1) A subsequent strip, map and sample excavation discovered more than 100 features, mostly Roman or medieval in date, including a droveway and possible enclosure. Finds included loomweights and quernstones which indicate that industrial activity may have taken place. (2)
