Excavation undertaken by Oxford Archaeology in 2009 at Warren Lane prior to development.
Late 12th to late 13th century field boundaries and two ovens or corn-driers with associated pits and post-holes. The post-holes may represent fence lines around the ovens / corn-driers. Two of the pits may have been for holding water; all were backfilled with rake-out deposits from the ovens / corn-driers. (1-2)
