Excavations carried out between 1998-2001 at the Saltwood Tunnel and Stone Farm Bridleway sites, by Canterbury Archaeology Trust and Wessex Archaeology, as part of the CTRL works.

A ditched field system, located roughly halfway between the settlement foci (TR 13 NE 226 and TR 13 NE 227). The field system extends to the north of the area excavated. On a NNE-SSW / WNW-ESE alignment. The SE corner appears to respect the Late Bronze Age ditch, suggesting this was still visible in the landscape. (1)
