Full Description
Multivallate enclosure on Three Barrows Down: at least 6 narrow ditches are visible on the promontory to the north east, and a ditched trackway attached to the enclosure on the north east. (1)
New photography (16th July 2001) shows a far more complex picture, the multivallate enclosure clearly representing a complex multi-phase feature. The trackway also runs for some considerable distance and is itself connected to large rectangular enclosures which presumably represent fields. The complex is tentatively suggested to be of 1st millennium BC or Roman date. (2)
