Full Description

TR 27096806. Three sides of large enclosure with rounded corners (1). RAF AP shows additional staple enclosure with pit features, adjacent to the original feature (2) and site photographs (3,4).

The cropmark remains of probable settlement enclosure, possibly medieval in date, visible on aerial photographs (CUCAP BMT94 04-JUN-1973) as ditched rectangular enclosure with three sides and one curved corner 55m x 42m located on the former northern shore of Thanet just below the 5m contour. This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024 (5).
