Full Description

Short length of slit trench on seaward side of putting green [not an antiquity] (1) For site in context with others in inter-tidal zone, see (2). Site photographs (3-6).

The earthwork remains of Second World War trenches which form part of an extensive system of ditches along the coast of Minnis Bay. These have been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. These trenches have now all been infilled (7-8).
