Full Description
Cropmark of ditched trackway east of Beechen Wood, possibly associated with pits and transverse linear features: by far the best and most impressive of its type in the area. (1,2,3)
In 2009 Archaeology South-East carried out an evaluation within Lullingstone Country Park. The ditch and bank on the northern side of the trackway were encountered in one trench. Worked flints were recovered from the fills of the ditch. This suggests a later prehistoric date, possibly in the Bronze Age, though the material could be residual and the feature of slightly later date. (4)
