Full Description
A ditched enclosure and quarry dated to the Roman era were discovered during an excavation that took place over a wide area ahead of road works at junction 2 of the A2/A282. A number of archaeological features were uncovered dating from the neolithic to modern (world war two) eras.
In area A (excavation areas to the west of the M25) a ditched enclosure and several quarry pits were uncovered and interpreted as being of the same date via the pottery recovered from said features. The enclosure measured 50m x50m(1)
