Summary

Cropmarks of an incomplete rectilinear enclosure, possibly Iron Age or Roman in date. It has a n entrance in the southern end and a possible annexe beyond this. Four pits lie within the main enclosure, two appear to be square/rectilinear in form, the remaining pits are smaller and curvilinear. To the south of the enclosure is a group of four pits arranged in a square similar in form to the footprint of 20th/21st century mast bases.

Full Description

Cropmarks of an incomplete rectilinear enclosure, possibly Iron Age or Roman in date seen at TQ 5499 7067. It has a n entrance in the southern end and a possible annexe beyond this. Four pits lie within the main enclosure, two appear to be square/rectilinear in form, the remaining pits are smaller and curvilinear. To the south of the enclosure is a group of four pits arranged in a square similar in form to the footprint of 20th/21st century mast bases.
A second rectilinear enclosure was also noted c.5m to the south-east. This has been recorded sepatately.
