In 1993 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an evaluation on the proposed plot for a new house on land adjacent to 6 North Foreland Road. A number of post holes were found, some containing flint tempered pottery. (1)

In 2010 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out a watching brief on groundworks for a new house. Pits and post holes dating to the Early to Middle Iron Age were found in the central part of the site. In the south-eastern area a curvilinear feature, probably a drip gully associated with a roundhouse, was partially exposed, the rest extending beyond the site boundary. This feature also dated to the Early to Middle Iron Age. A sherd of residual pottery possibly from an Early Bronze Age collard urn could derive from a nearby disturbed burial. (2)
